This professional stylus pressure gauges is designed for vinyl record purists looking for a stylus pressure gauge that provides accurate record-level measurement of VTF. When the VTF gauge is used with the detachable cantilevered extension arm VTF is measured approximately 3from the surfof the turntable platter close to the height of a stylus tip resting on an LP record LPs have a typical thickness range of 1. 9to 2. 9 mm. The tracking force gauge has a resolution of 0. 005 g – providing very precise VTF measurement. To reduce interwith magnets in MM and MC cartridges the casing of the VTF gauge is manufactured from durable plastic and the detachable stainless steel cantilevered extension arm is made from a non-ferromagnetic grade of stainless steel. Two masses 20 g and 5 g are included for gauge re-calibration a straightforward 1-minute procedure. The calibration masses also allow verification of gauge readings prior to VTF measurement.
