It’s not real tin but the cloth was so named because of its exceptional durability. This water-resistant hood is actually 100% cotton that’s been soaked in paraffin wax. The wax softens with time but continues to provide tough water-resistance. Just brush dirt and debris off the tin cloth hood to clean it.The drawstring allows you to pull the USA-made hood around your face to block out the cold.
