The Hope family began growing wine grapes in 1978 in Paso Robles and started making its wines 18 years later. California’s Central Coast extending from Santa Barbara to Monterey is home to some of the nation’s top vineyards. The climate at the Hope Family Wine estate warm sunny days and cool coastal nights is similar to the climate of France’s Rhne Valley and Napa s Rutherford district. Austin’s Hope’s Cabernet Sauvignon was also recently named No. 10 of the World’s Top 100 by Wine Enthusiast. It was the first time in the magazine’s three decades of rankings that a wine from Paso Robles made the Top 10. Pair this wine with beef brisket mushroom risotto vegetable and cheese casserole.
