Only 300 of this exclusive and limited edition FinnFest 2019 bird have been produced making it as rare of a collectible for Toikka collectors as it is a sight in nature. Only .05% of cardinals have white coloring due to a condition that causes a lack of melanin in their commonly crimson plumage. A white opal body pays ode to the fascinating phenomenon and is contrasted by a dark grey tail with a galaxy of dazzling windswept markings. The tail also has a tortoise-shell texture that can be felt and seen in certain lights with movement. This special bird has a gold-brown luster beak and a cranberry red head with the classic cardinal crest while a streak of grey runs along the back. Home to many Northern cardinals Detroit Michigan was the hosting city of FinnFest 2019.
